Privacy Policy

This privacy policy clarifies the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider on this website (hereafter "INICAT"): [INICAT UG (limited liability), Schlossallee 44, 13156 Berlin, GERMANY,, phone: +49.30.23484086]

The legal basis for data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Teleservices Act (TMG).

Accessed Data / Server Logfiles

INICAT (or its webspace provider) collects data about accessed content (so-called server logfiles). The data includes: Name of the retrieved web page, file, date and time of the retrieval, transmitted data volume, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user's operating system, the referrer URL (previously visited website), the IP address and the requesting provider. INICAT uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the content. However, INICAT reserves the right to retroactively check the log data if, due to concrete indications, there is a legitimate suspicion of unlawful use.

Handling of personal data

Personal data is information by means of which a person can be identified, e.g. information which can be traced back to a person. This includes name, email address and phone number. But also, data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites were viewed by someone count as personal data. INICAT will only collect, use and pass on personal data if this is legally permitted or if the user consents to the data collection.

When contacting INICAT (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), the user's data are stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry as well as in the event that further questions arise.

Comments and contributions

When users leave comments or other posts, their IP addresses are stored. This is to ensure the security of INICAT in cases where someone posts illegal content in comments including insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc. In this case, INICAT itself may be prosecuted for the comment or contribution and is therefore interested in the author's identity.

With the newsletter we inform you about us and our offers. If you would like to receive the newsletter, we need a valid e-mail address as well as information that will allow us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address or that you have accepted receipt of the newsletter. Additional data will not be collected. This data is only used for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. By registering for the newsletter, we will save your IP address and the date of the registration. This serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an e-mail address and logs in without the knowledge of the authorized person who receives the newsletter. Your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address as well as their use for sending the newsletters can be revoked at any time. The revocation can take place via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your account area or by notification via the above contact information.

Integration of third-party services and content

It is possible that third party contents, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be used on this website. This always requires providers of these contents (hereafter referred to as "third-party providers") to recognize the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the user's browser. The IP address is thus required for the display of these contents. We only use content for which the respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content. However, we do not have any influence over how third-party vendors use the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. We will inform users about the practices of third-party vendors to the extent possible.

Getty Images

This service may use images from the stock image provider Getty Images. The images can be recognized by a frame on the image with the reference "Getty Images". The representation of these images requires that Getty Images recognizes the IP address of the users, so that images can be delivered to the user's browser. The IP address is therefore required for the display of these contents. According to our current knowledge, the IP address is used only for this purpose. However, INICAT has no influence whatsoever on how Getty Images uses the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, users will be notified accordingly or the pictures will be removed.
